AQUA FITNESS CLASSES AT THE SPORTS PARK POOL

Aqua Fitness Classes at the Sports Park Pool

Please bring a noodle and water shoes. I have spare noodles if anyone forgets theirs.

Our class meets every Monday and Wednesday 8-9 pm, in the Sports Park Pool.

  • Monday – Is for strength. We do slow controlled moves immersing the noodle to add resistance. We’ll throw a few cardio and body only moves to get you warmed up, take a break, and cool down. This is a full body workout that will leave you feeling refreshed.
  • Wednesday – Intervals in the pool. These moves are designed to bring your heart rate up and are followed by slow moves to bring it back down. This is repeated throughout the hour to get the most out of the workout. You leave the pool knowing you got a great workout without all of the soreness that comes with it.

Function

Buoyancy refers to the upward force from water as it is exerted against your body. Because water is buoyant, it naturally cushions and works to massage your joints and muscles—especially your spine, knees and hips that are more prone to injury from high-impact exercises. In chest-deep water, approximately 90 percent of your body weight is buoyant, meaning you’re only bearing about 10 percent of your actual body weight. On land, your body works only against gravity, but because water is thicker than air, it provides resistance that can make exercising in water more challenging. In fact, the amount of resistance from water can range from four to 44 times that of air. Exercising in water also provides multidirectional resistance, because water is exerted equally on all sides of your body—similar to working out with weights or weight machines on land.

AT&T FIBER OPTICS INFRASTRUCTURE

Mintco, the subcontractor for AT&T will need access to certain backyards. Over the next several weeks, Mintco crews will be working in the Villages of Westcreek. The crews will need to access backyard easements so crew members will be leaving door hangers. Should you receive one, we ask that you please make arrangements or accommodations for the crew members to have access.

Once the work is complete, they will mend any damage caused to your lot during this process.

If you, the homeowner, have any questions you may call Oscar Hernandez with Mintco at 210-634-9055.
