Senior Fitness Classes – VWOA Community Center
All exercises can be done sitting or standing.
- Tuesday – The class centers around improving balance and posture. Very slow and controlled movements that will challenge balance and improve posture. Everyone as always can go at there own pace. Accommodations can also be made to modify the exercises.
- Wednesday – This is our resistance day. Bring a resistance band or pair of weights you are comfortable using throughout the workout. We start slowly warming up the muscles and increasing the heart rate in order to start using our resistance equipment. I have extra resistance bands and weights if anyone needs to borrow them.
- Thursday – No weights or bands are needed. We carefully and slowly prepare our muscles and heart rate to do some intervals. This can also be a cardio day for anyone who would like to maintain their heart rate steady throughout the workout.
We end every class with a good variety of stretches to help us reduce soreness and keep our muscles flexible.
Residents – $7.00 per class
Non-Residents – $8.00 per class
$50.00 for the month
3x a week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Note: If you are enrolled in “Senior Fitness”, you can sign up for “Aqua Fitness” and take both classes for only $75 per month!
