Recently we have received reports of two teenagers that have been going around with a Go Pro camera recording pranks. The teenagers are asking people to use their cell phone to call their parents, and once they have the cell phone in hand, they take off running. The second incident was reported at the community pool where the money box was taken from the gate guard. In both instances the individuals took off running and then they turned around and returned the items explaining that it was a prank that was recorded. Please be aware that these types of incidents are occurring.
These teens don’t realize the position they are putting themselves in, nor that of the person who is being pranked. Such activity can place all involved at risk. Not knowing that one is being pranked can lead to some harsh circumstance that could otherwise be avoided. If you know of anyone engaging in this activity, please alert them of the dangers of this activity.

If you choose to do this you will need to submit a PIA and all necessary documentation for ARC consideration prior to commencing any improvement.

Public Safety Tip
For sunscreen to do its job, it must be used correctly. Be sure to: Apply sunscreen whenever your kids will be in the sun. For best results, apply sunscreen about 15 to 30 minutes before kids go outside.Don’t forget about ears, hands, feet, shoulders, and behind the neck. Lift up bathing suit straps and apply sunscreen underneath them (in case the straps shift as a child moves). Protect lips with an SPF 30 lip balm. Apply sunscreen generously — dermatologists recommend using 1 ounce (enough to fill a shot glass) to cover the exposed areas of the body.Reapply sunscreen often, about every 2 hours. Reapply after a child has been sweating or swimming.Apply a water-resistant sunscreen if kids will be around water or swimming. Water reflects and intensifies the sun’s rays, so kids need protection that lasts. Water-resistant sunscreens may last up to 80 minutes in the water, and some are also sweat-resistant. But regardless of the water-resistant label, be sure to reapply sunscreen when kids come out of the water.
