2016 Assessments

The assessments for 2016 are $360.00 for the year or $90.00 quarterly. If you pay quarterly, please remember the due dates are January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2016. Finance charges are applied on past due assessments. IMPORTANT: ***All residents 12 and older must have a current VWOA ID card in order to access the pool and park and attend VWOA events.


Yard Sales

The VWOA has its scheduled yard sales every second Saturday of the month.  Our next yard sale will be held on Saturday, February 13th.  Please stop by the VWOA office to purchase your permit for $15.00.


Thank You for your Support!

The Staff and the Board of Directors wishes to thank all of you who helped support the Mardi Grass Casino Night that took place this past Saturday.  The event was quite a success; we had 101 participants who purchased their tickets in anticipation of this event.  By all accounts it seems that all had a great time.  We hope to grow this to an even bigger number next year.  Thank you all again for your participation!


New Basketball Program

The VWOA is happy to announce its new Basketball Program.  Registration for residents begins today, February 8th through the 26th.  of February.  For non-residents registration begins on February 22nd.  Age groups are as follows, 7-9, 10-12, and 13-16.  Fees are $50.00 per Resident Player and $60.00 for Non-resident player.  Discount is available for multiple children of same household. We would like to invite you to call our office for the more details. 


VWOA Office Hours

The office will be closed on Monday, February 15th in observance of President’s Day.


Soccer Program Review

The VWOA Board of Directors (BOD) initially opened the conversation regarding recreational activities at the November 2015 monthly open BOD meeting and a final decision was not made at that time. The BOD continued the discussion at the January 2016 monthly open BOD meeting where it was finalized that the VWOA soccer program would start in the Fall for 2016. Based on the feedback from residents, additional recreational activities will be hosted by VWOA for the enjoyment of all residents. Therefore, the 2016 soccer season will begin registration in July and has been lengthened to allow for more playing time.  Additionally, during the off season, the fields will be reconditioned and reseeded in preparation for the extended Fall soccer season.  During the Spring recreation season, we will offer basketball, and we will work continuously to add additional activities for our community.


Call for Board of Director’s Nominations

The Board of Directors will have (3) three open seats in April 2016. A key business item on the annual meeting agenda is the election of new Board members. If you are a Homeowner who would like to serve your community, or know of another Homeowner who would make a good director please submit the following by February 19, 2016. Nominations received by this date will be published in the April 2016 newsletter and on the website. Any nominations received after February 19, 2016 will be posted on the website, but will not make the deadline for the Newsletter or the Ballot printing.

Closed For Renovation

Sports Park Operational Hours Change Effective December 1st, 2015 through March 1st, 2016

Due to Daylight Saving the operational hours from Sunday through Thursday will now be scheduled from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.  The scheduled hours for Friday and Saturday will remain the same from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. 


Updating Your Villages of Westcreek ID Cards

Are you short on time and have trouble getting to us during our normal office hours?  Along with our regular scheduled hours during the week our office remains open every Monday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. If for whatever reason you may not have the chance to update your ID cards, you may drop them off in an envelope at our drop box at the office.  We will gladly update your cards (assessments must be up to date) and mail them back to you.  (Please remove any lanyards from them prior to drop off).


Payment Options

The VWOA office accepts homeowner’s checks, credit cards, cash and money orders. If you cannot get to the office during office hours or do not live in VWOA, you can now pay your assessments online at www.villagesofwestcreek.com.  Also, you may wish to set it up with your bank as a bill pay, the bank will mail a check directly to us. Please use your house number and street name as your VWOA account number. Homeowners can also mail their check personally to us. Please send payments to VWOA, 12395 Military Dr W., San Antonio, TX 78253. VWOA does not accept checks from non-homeowners. At this time we cannot accept payments over the phone. Please note that the P.O. Box is closed. *** Payments can also be made via Pay Pal using our Pay Pal link on our website at www.villagesofwestcreek.com.

Facility Rental

The Community Center and Sports Park Pavilion are available to rent for your next event. The facilities can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Water Conservation

Year-Round watering restrictions (listed below) may be declared when the Edwards Aquifer level is above 660 feet meaning sea level at the monitored well. These rules continue until there is an announcement in the newspaper that Stage 1 is in effect and/or conditions warrant a more stringent restriction level.

  • Under Year-Round guidelines, all fountains – whether commercial or residential, or indoor or outdoor – are allowed.
  • Landscape watering with an irrigation system or sprinkler is permitted any day of the week before 11 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Please visit saws.org website for more information.

Standards Tips

CC&Rs 10.12 – The Owner and lessee of any lot shall have the duty of and responsibility for keeping the premises, improvements and appurtenances and landscaping in a well maintained, safe, clean and attractive condition at all times.  If, in the opinion of the Declarant or its assigns or successors, or the Association, any such owner or lessee is failing in this duty and responsibility, then the Declarant, its successors or assigns or the Association may give notice of such fact and such Owner or lessee shall within ten (10) days of such notice, undertake the care and maintenance required to restore said Owner’s or lessee’s Lot to a safe, clean and attractive condition.  Should any such Owner or lessee fail to fulfill this duty and responsibility after such notice, the Declarant or its successors or assigns or the Association shall have the right and power to perform such care and maintenance, and the Owner or lessee shall be liable for the cost thereof.  If such Owner or lessee shall fail to reimburse the entity performing the work after written demand upon such Owner for payment, the amount of such charge shall constitute a lien upon the Lot and shall be enforceable and collectible in the manner set forth in Sections 5.08 and 5.09 of this Declaration.

Take Safety Precautions Before Working in the Garden

Whether you are a beginner or expert, health and safety are important as you head out to your garden, vegetable plot, or lawn.  Gardening can be a great way to get physical activity, beautify the community, and go green.  However, it is important to protect yourself and take precautions as you work and play in the sun and around insects, lawn and garden equipment, and chemicals.  Below are some health and safety tips for gardeners to follow while enjoying the beauty and bounty gardening can bring:


Dress to Protect

Prevent exposure to chemicals, insects, the sun by wearing the proper clothing, and safety equipment.

Use an insect repellant and sunscreen with sun protective factor (SPF) 15 or higher

Always check your clothes and body for ticks.

Wear a hat with a wide rim to shade the face, head, ears, and neck.

Know your limits in the heat.

Even being out for short periods of time in high temperatures can cause serious health problems.

Monitor your activities and time in the sun to lower your risk for heat-related illness.

Schedule outdoor activities carefully, and pace yourself. Use common sense.

Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water.

Whatever your outdoor activity, have water on hand to decrease the chance of dehydration.

Mintco, the subcontractor for AT&T will need access to certain backyards. Over the next several weeks, Mintco crews will be working in the Villages of Westcreek. The crews will need to access backyard easements so crew members will be leaving door hangers. Should you receive one, we ask that you please make arrangements or accommodations for the crew members to have access.

Once the work is complete, they will mend any damage caused to your lot during this process.
