Request for Candy Donations
The trees are starting to bud and the temperatures are feeling like Spring. Mother Nature must be thinking like the Westcreek staff! Spring is right around the corner along with our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, March 23, 2013. As we have in the past we are requesting donations of candy to fill the eggs. Please be mindful when purchasing your individually wrapped candy that it must fit inside the plastic Easter eggs and allow the top to lock in place. In addition, due to melting issues, please purchase non-chocolate candies. We look for the number of kids to increase this year and Thank You in advance for your support.

Meet the Candidate
VWOA has 2 open seats available in 2013. We currently have 4 confirmed nominees running for these positions. Please come to the Community Center on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the March Board of Directors meeting to meet the candidates.

Town Hall Meeting
The Villages of Westcreek will hold a Town Hall meeting on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm. The honored guest for this event is the new Sheriff of Bexar County, Susan Pamerleau. She has confirmed her participation and is looking forward to meeting the residents of Westcreek. Please take the time to come out and meet the Sheriff and members of her staff. They are coming to hear your concerns and to better represent and serve you. We need to have a good showing of attendance to display our willingness to improve our community.

New Belly Dance Fusion and Core
Starting March 6th- Wednesdays 6:45pm-7:30pm
Come join us for our first class on March 6, at 6:45pm in the community center. Class is open to non-residents, so bring your friends! This class is a mix of classic belly dance movements, modern dance and core strengthening exercises.
It is a beginner’s level class for all shapes and sizes. Learn to shimmy, shake, and feel confident learning with other ladies. During our 1st class, we will discuss what you might like to use that will enhance your belly dance experience, such as hip scarves and we will start learning some basic movements. Dress comfortably and feel free to contact Lucy with any questions or concerns at 845-5306.

Standards Tips
The VWOA standards monitors attempt to make personal contact with residents. They knock on doors rather than ring bells to avoid disturbing possible sleeping children or adults who work different shift work. If there is no response then they place the note in the door. This includes, but not limited to: Courtesy Notices, Friendly Reminders, Thank You Notes, ARC Follow up Requests, and Yard of the 2 Week awards.

Crime Report
2/28/2013~Quail Meadow/Forest~ Dezarae~ Pickup truck tailgates dumped at the end of street

Public Safety Tip
We do have a few areas within our subdivision that do not have sidewalks. The most dangerous location is along Saxonhill off of Military Dr. This area is traveled daily by children coming and going to Galm Elementary. Please be extra cautious when traveling in this area because children are often in the street.

If you see graffiti or vandalism in the Villages of Westcreek, please report it to the office at 679-8761.

Mintco, the subcontractor for AT&T will need access to certain backyards. Over the next several weeks, Mintco crews will be working in the Villages of Westcreek. The crews will need to access backyard easements so crew members will be leaving door hangers. Should you receive one, we ask that you please make arrangements or accommodations for the crew members to have access.

Once the work is complete, they will mend any damage caused to your lot during this process.

If you, the homeowner, have any questions you may call Oscar Hernandez with Mintco at 210-634-9055.
