VWOA National Night Out Was A Success!

VWOA would like to thank everyone for attending our first community-wide National Night Out which had a substantial turn-out. The staff, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers assisted in making the evening into another positive community experience.

MetroWaste provided the trash and recycling collection for the event which is greatly appreciated. Additional sponsors who provided funding or donations include: HEB, First Mark Credit Union, Potranco Automotive, and Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union. Their support helped make this event possible for our community.

New Trash/Recycle Collection in Westcreek

Public Safety Tip

Crime Report:

On September 19/20, 2012 a truck was intentionally set ablaze in the Vistas while in the resident’s driveway.

Please remember to be aware of activity in your neighborhood and report any suspicious behavior to Bexar County Sherriff’s office.

This is Fire Prevention Week. The theme of NFPA’s 2012 Fire Prevention Week, “Have Two Ways Out!” focuses on the importance of fire escape planning and practice. The idea is to have two escape routes out of each room of your home; usually this is the door and a window to escape from. You should also have a designated meeting place for your family to meet at in the event of a fire. This is usually a permanent location such as a light pole or tree, across the street from your home. Do not go back into your home until it has been checked by the Fire Department.

If you see graffiti or vandalism in the Villages of Westcreek, please report it to the office at 679-8761.
